President's Message March 2025

Claudia Weber
NCBWL President 2023-25
Isaiah 43: 18-19
Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not; seee, I am doing somethig new!
March! In like a lion -out like a lamb? Maybe that phrase was meant for this past month when we were snowed out of our record-setting registration at St. Ann’s!
Luckily for us (luck of the Irish?) we still have Katie Siegenthaler on March 19 at our 75th Anniversary reception and dinner meeting at the Aquinas Center.
Fr. John Sims Baker will celebrate the 4:30pm Mass and Bishop Spalding may join us. We will collect donations for Room in the Inn and salute St. Cecilia and Aquinas leadership in attendance.
Katie will be introduced by our member, Amelia Strobel, and books will again be available to buy and get signed. Have an unsigned book already? Bring it along. And think about another copy to buy as a gift.
Again, to remind us of Fr. Strobel’s life and work here is his obituary:

Feel free to also bring any mementos or photos you may have of your time with the League.
There will be scrapbooks to peruse -I love re-visiting clothing and hairstyles too!
There will be a silent auction for baseball and hockey tickets. Our member Angie and her Saint Magnets will have a table and include her design of Fr. Strobel.
Before we know it, a new Board will be installed in April, and I get to continue being one of the League’s biggest fans.
