The annual Pearls of Wisdom event raises funds to continue our mission to promote and perpetuate the education of young women. The League awards three scholarships annually at each of the three Catholic high schools in Nashville. Our commitment was renewed with our Spring visits to the campuses to meet the new scholars.

Since the League’s founding, it has donated more than $492,000 toward girls’ scholarships.
Women gather in the fall for a fabulous fundraiser benefiting the Aurelia Varallo Mariani Scholarship Fund. Silent and live auctions have been a special part of our fundraising efforts. In the recent years, the fundraiser events have been in a variety of formats and themes to add more excitement, all for a very worthy cause.

Scholarship Recipients
Aurelia Varallo Mariani Scholarship
One young woman at each of the three Catholic high schools in Nashville -- Father Ryan High School, Pope John Paul II Preparatory School and St. Cecilia Academy -- received an annual scholarship from NCBWL.
Generous contributions at Pearls of Wisdom 2023 generated a check for $14,000 for each recipient.
