Pearls of Wisdom 2021

Pearls of Wisdom Brunch and Fundraiser held Sept. 11 at Richland Country Club.

We are immensely grateful to so many individuals and organizations who have supported Pearls of Wisdom 2021.

To our very own Catholic community, members and volunteers, sponsors, donors, friends and guests who have generously supported Pearls of Wisdom in so many ways -- our heartfelt gratitude!  Because of your support, donations and hard work, we are confident that we would exceed our goal of $40,000 to fund scholarships to three young women attending three area Catholic high schools this year. Although the challenges of the pandemic seemed unsurmountable, together, we were able to gather in a fabulous event filled with purpose, commitment and grace.

To our league President Lynne Warne and Development Co-Chairs Patricia Vance and Nikki Moreland, and to the rest of our board members who exerted tremendous efforts for many weeks leading to our big day, congratulations for a successful event. Well done!

The Nashville Catholic Business Women's League awarded three $17,000 scholarships to Nashville's three Catholic high schools.

PEARLS OF WISDOM 2021 RAISED OVER $54,000

Through our annual fundraiser Pearls of Wisdom, the league was able to award the largest amount to date to 3 young women at St. Cecilia Academy, Fr. Ryan High School and Pope John Paul II Preparatory School.

The good news doesn't end here. We are also starting an endowment with $5,000 through the ACE Foundation for St. Michael Academy.

NCBWL was established in 1950 and is the Diocese of Nashville's oldest business organization. Since the league's founding, it has donated approximately $454,500 toward girls' scholarships.

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help,
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence
I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee do I come,
before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
